Deputy Director (HR Business Partnering) (2-Year Contract)

What the role is

Reporting to the Director, HR, the incumbent will lead the Business Partnering Department to support the needs of the divisions, thereby ensuring policies are well-executed and supports MPA's Future-Ready Framework of being a Choice Employer.

What you will be working on

•    Understanding MPA's business and providing insights to People issues;
•    Facilitate the achievement of business objectives through the formulation and implementation of HR close-gap strategies;
•    Develop MPA's manpower planning and supporting manpower requests during peace time crisis and NE (inclusive of CARE for maritime incidents);
•    Develop and drive Strategic Workforce Plan as part of Public Service Transformation
•    Oversee end to end hiring and exit processes, performance management, disciplinary issues, etc;
•    Union engagement; and 
•    Employee Engagement

What we are looking for

•    At least 10 years of working experience as a HR Business Partner
•    Good knowledge and understanding of full spectrum of HR  
•    Excellent interpersonal skills in building rapport and trusting relationship with various stakeholders 
•    Collaborate and lead the team effectively to achieve optimal results.
