What the role is
The School of Sports and Health, whose vision is to be a leading educator in the domains of sports, health, and community care, invites qualified and passionate candidates to apply for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Diploma in Integrated Community Care (DICC).
What you will be working on
The Diploma in Integrated Community Care aims to prepare students for emerging roles in Singapore’s evolving health and social care landscape. The programme equips learners with competencies to support integrated care models that span healthcare, social services, and community-based support systems.
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will:
• Deliver academic and instructional duties for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes.
• Design, review, and update curriculum to ensure relevance to the sector and uphold academic governance.
• Facilitate student learning through experiential, practice-based approaches and mentor students in their holistic development.
• Supervise students in final-year projects, internships, overseas study trips, and co-curricular activities.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organisations, and social service agencies to support applied learning and research.
• Contribute to applied research and development projects that promote innovation in integrated community care delivery.
• Take part in school-wide administrative duties, event organisation, outreach activities, and other committee roles.
What we are looking for
• Relevant qualification in nursing, allied health, social work, public health, health administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in the community care or healthcare sector (e.g., aged care, primary care, integrated care settings, ILTC providers, VWOs, or public health institutions).
• Working knowledge and/or experience in areas such as:
o Integrated care models and frameworks
o Community health and social care coordination
o Gerontology and active ageing
o Health promotion and chronic disease management
o Multi-disciplinary care planning
• Familiarity with local health and social care systems and government initiatives (e.g., Healthier SG, Community Networks for Seniors) is preferred.
• Passionate about education, student development, and building manpower for the integrated care sector.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and project outcomes.
• Strong communication, planning, and organisation skills, with attention to detail.
