Senior Manager/Manager, Immigration and Registration

The job holder will: • Collaborate with relevant government agencies to review immigration and registration policies in line with national objectives • Review enabling legislation (e.g. Immigration Act, Passport Act, National Registration Act) to support intended changes in immigration and registration policies and operations • Monitor, analyse and report on immigration trends • Evaluate and make recommendations on complex cases and appeals pertaining to immigration and registration policies • Oversee public communications and engagement related to immigration and registration issues • Perform secretarial duties for senior leadership meetings

Job Requirements: • Strong analytical skills and systems thinking to balance competing considerations when developing solutions • Ability to break down large problems into manageable parts and evaluate them from multiple perspectives • Keen appreciation of global and local operating context • Strong interpersonal skills • Drive assigned workstreams independently, effectively and efficiently • Strong competency in data analysis All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
