The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore.
The Aerial Systems (AS) domain of RAUS CoE seeks someone responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities for Home Team Departments (HTDs). This domain comprises two pillars: Research & Technology (R&T) and Systems Engineering (SE). The SE pillar focuses on working with and managing industrial partners through Continuous Integration – Continuous Development (CI/CD) to ensure HTDs' operational systems are continuously enhanced to address the evolving threat landscape, increasingly complex operational demands, and Singapore's decreasing workforce. The pillar consists of a team of engineers who champion the translation of proven technologies into viable operational capabilities, conduct Operational Trial & Evaluation (OT&E), insert new operational capabilities into existing operational systems, and maintain these systems.
The job holder will perform capability development work through either the Continuous Engineering Programme (CEP) or DevOps with key strategic partners. Additionally, they will perform technology insertion into operational systems through mid-life upgrades or integration into next-generation platforms and systems.
Furthermore, the job holder will execute the deployment and sustainment of UAS for HTDs, ensuring that delivered UAS capabilities achieve the desired outcomes of the Ops-Tech Masterplan. They are expected to deliver Day 1 programmes to ensure timely delivery of UAS capabilities supporting operational needs. The job holder will also execute Day 2 operations according to planned schedules and stipulated timelines, ensuring the Home Team UAS fleet maintains high availability and low downtime.
