What you will be working on

  • Design, develop and implement IT applications, technology services and integration of application systems across different technology platforms.
  • Conceptualize, innovate and perform feasibility study of new or improved products and services based on user requirements.
  • Manage Proof-of-Concept and/or pilot projects involving new technologies.
  • Work closely with users on leveraging IT to effectively support their business needs and services as well as to improve current work operations and innovation of new services, while concurrently ensuring compliance to prevailing policies and guidelines.
  • Prepare proposal and storyboarding of IT solutions to get buy-in from users and management.   
  • Responsible for end-to-end procurement of IT services, ensuring objectivity, transparency and best value for NLB and its patrons.
  • Manage the vendors and contracts to ensure that the performance of vendors and deliverables are in accordance with the tender and service level agreements.

What we are looking for

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 3 to 8 years of relevant working experience in related IT roles e.g. managing IT related products/projects, prototyping, vendor management.
  • Those with project management certification or equivalent, familiar with government procurement process and IM8 guidelines would have an added advantage.
  • Experience in hybrid Agile environments and leveraging mechanical automation to improve delivery outcomes.
  • Experience in delivering and managing projects involving automated or operational systems, including hardware-software integration, process optimization, and third-party vendor management.
  • Knowledge of new technologies including AI-enabled tools, data-driven decision-making, and cloud-based collaboration platforms is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, ISO 9000 standards is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to manage relevant stakeholders.

The office location is at ESR BizPark@Chai Chee. Successful candidate will be appointed on a 2-year contract.
