The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. Within the SPF, the Police Psychological Services Department (PPSD) plays an important role in supporting the organisational and operational needs of SPF.
The Psychologist will be part of the Organisational Psychology Division in the Police Psychological Services Department (PPSD), Singapore Police Force (SPF). The Psychologist will be primarily involved in leadership assessment, development and training in SPF, selection of law enforcement personnel, organisational psychology related research and training, and the development of industrial-organisational psychological capabilities in SPF. The Psychologist will also be involved in other core PPSD functions.
You will be placed under the Home Team Specialist Scheme.

What you will be working on
As a Psychologist (Leadership Psychology Group) in OPD in PPSD, your key roles and responsibilities include:
• Supporting in the development and implementation of leadership assessment efforts
• Supporting in the development and implementation of leadership development efforts
• Supporting in the development, review and delivery of leadership training across different tiers of SPF leadership
• Conducting psychological assessment interviews for personnel selection
• Conducting applied research in relation to leadership assessment, development and training, as well as other industrial-organisational areas
• Providing professional consultation to officers, units and organisation on psychology and behavioural sciences matters
• Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with internal and external partners
• Supporting in other core PPSD functions e.g., resilience, counselling, operational areas
What we are looking for
• Field of studies in Psychology or other relevant fields
• Work experiences in psychology or related behavioural sciences will be advantageous
• Familiarity with the Home Team context will be preferred
• Understanding of statistics and proficiency in the use of statistical software
• Good research and analytical skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, good presentation skills and comfortable with conducting trainings and presentations to small and large audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in team settings
• Comfortable with independent work with a strong level of initiative
• Comfortable with applied work in an operational setting
• Ability to adapt to changes and handle multiple priorities
