Deputy Director, Land Titles Registry
Assist the Registrar of Titles and Deeds and the Director, Land Titles Registry to:
• Administer the Land Titles Act 1993 and the Land Titles (Strata) Act 1967.
• Review, formulate and implement legislation and policies.
• Supervise the operations of the Land Titles Registry to ensure timely and accurate registration of property transactions, including providing policy guidance on operational issues.
• Lead and run legislative and strategic projects to uphold a pro-business, modern and effective land registration and public search system.
• Provide guidance and coaching to staff to support them in their professional development.
• Engage and deal with internal and external stakeholders in the operations of the Land Titles Registry.
Requirements
• An LL.B. from a recognised university for admission to the Singapore Bar and/or admitted to the Singapore Bar.
• At least 10-15 years’ legal work experience in conveyancing and other civil matters.
• Familiarity with land law would be preferred and advantageous.
• Driven, ability to perform under pressure, pro-actively manage competing priorities and respond to ops-centric issues expeditiously.
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills, including the ability to inspire and manage a team, work collaboratively across divisions / agencies as well as engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
