This position plays a key role in Singapore Polytechnic’s campus planning and redevelopment efforts. The role focuses on delivering a well-integrated, future-ready, and sustainable campus environment that enhances the experience of students and staff.

You will be involved in planning, design coordination, and project management of development and upgrading projects, ensuring that design solutions are functional, sustainable, and aligned with operational needs. The role also bridges planning, project delivery, and facilities management to support long-term campus transformation.

What you will be working on

Campus Planning and Design Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate architectural, interior design, and MEP planning across campus development and upgrading projects.

  • Translate user, operational, and facilities requirements into clear design briefs and technical inputs.

  • Ensure integration of planning strategies with campus-wide development goals and infrastructure requirements.

  • Coordinate design interfaces across disciplines and ensure consistency throughout project phases

Project Management

  • Manage projects from planning to completion, ensuring delivery in terms of cost, time, quality, and minimal disruption to campus operations.

  • Oversee consultants and contractors, including design development, authority submissions, procurement, and construction phases.

  • Develop project schedules, phasing strategies, and implementation plans to ensure smooth execution.

  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure timely resolution of project issues

BIM, Digital & Sustainability Integration

  • Support and ensure adoption of BIM workflows for design coordination and project delivery.

  • Align project requirements with SP’s digital asset and Smart FM strategies.

  • Integrate sustainability principles, including Green Mark and energy-efficient design, into project planning and execution

Stakeholder & FM Integration

  • Act as a key liaison between users, Facilities Management (FM), consultants, and contractors.

  • Facilitate alignment of operational workflows, maintenance considerations, and design intent.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and external partners.

Governance, Budget & reporting

  • Manage project budgets and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare approval papers, reports, and presentations for management review.

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Standards, regulatory requirements (e.g. BCA, SCDF, URA), and institutional guidelines.

  • Keep abreast of industry developments, codes, and best practices to support SP’s long-term planning direction.

Strategy & Team Supports

  • Support the implementation of campus development strategies and initiatives.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in planning, design, and project delivery processes.

  • Provide guidance and technical input to team members where required.

What we are looking for

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Degree in Architecture or Built Environment discipline.

  • Professional accreditation or certifications (e.g. BCA Green Mark, BIM-related certifications) will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in architectural planning and project management.

  • Experience in A&A, redevelopment, or campus/institutional projects will be preferred.

  • Familiarity with authority submissions and regulatory processes in Singapore (e.g. CORENET, BCA, SCDF, URA).

  • Experience in BIM coordination or digital project delivery is advantageous

  • Experience in live environment project execution (e.g. campus, hospital, etc.)

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong project management and organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Good understanding of BIM workflows and multi-disciplinary coordination.

  • Good understanding of Singapore regulatory framework (CORENET, codes)

  • Effective communicator with good stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination.

  • Technically grounded with the ability to bridge design, construction, and facilities management needs.

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
