What you will be working on
- Serve as one of two primary points of contact for engagement and consultation with NSmen and supporting entities
- Manage stakeholder relationships with NSmen and supporting entities including other NS Departments, MINDEF/SAF and external agencies to resolve queries and issues effectively
- Facilitate funds budgeting and activity organising to support unit operations and NSmen welfare initiatives
- Provide support to ensure timely and effective follow-ups with relevant stakeholders to sustain and improve the NS experience of NSmen
- Conduct personnel engagement activities and facilitate unit/entity cohesion initiatives including Career Transition and Development and Supply and Transport for NS
- Coordinate administrative processes and ensure compliance with NS policies and procedures across assigned entities
- Provide advisory support on NS-related matters to unit commanders and personnel
Challenge(s)
- Staying attuned to relevant NS management policies and processes to provide effective services to various stakeholders in a constantly evolving policy environment
- Managing high tempo operations whilst maintaining quality service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
- Handling conflict resolution and stakeholder management, especially with personnel who may be more senior in rank and appointment
- Managing multiple tasks and handling simultaneous assignments within tight timeframes whilst maintaining attention to detail
What we are looking for
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields
- Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse groups and resolve conflicts diplomatically
- Analytical and conceptual thinking capabilities with ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions
- Ability to multitask effectively and work independently in a small team setup whilst maintaining high performance standards
- Flexibility to work occasional out-of-norm hours including visits to outfield training locations
- Understanding of military structures and NS policies would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage relationships with personnel of varying seniority levels
- Strong organisational skills with ability to coordinate multiple activities and manage competing priorities
- Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a high-tempo operational environment
