A division of the National Youth Council, Youth Corps Singapore (Youth Corps) champions youth volunteerism nationwide in Singapore, empowering and supporting young Singaporeans to ignite positive change and make impactful difference in society. We are a national movement of young people with strong espirit de corps and service ethos, harnessing the optimism of young people, the passion of community partners and the transformative power of service learning to serve and build cohesive and inclusive communities. Join us to ignite positive change! Youth Corps Singapore is seeking a dynamic individual to be part of the Marketing and Communications (MarComms) team to champion youth volunteerism. The team is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing, communication and digital engagement strategies to increase mindshare of Youth Corps, engage, re-engage and recruit youth volunteers. The team also plans and manages the marketing and publicity campaigns, Youth Corps digital and social media platforms with strong curated content, design and branding, and digital engagement initiatives via channels such as Instagram, Tik Tok and Telegram.

What you will be working on

You will gain experience and hone your skills through the following responsibilities: Public Relations & Content Curation · Manage all public relations activities in Youth Corps including media enquiries, stakeholder liaison for media interviews, and coordination with internal NYC Strategic Communications and external stakeholders · Curate content for monthly newsletter, Hey Youth Corps, and vet materials for brand alignment across platforms · Build repository of Youth Corps volunteers for media features and amplify Youth Corps initiatives by curating inspirational youth volunteer stories through video production and social media · Support Youth Corps events through script and speech vetting, social media posting and onsite media coordination Youth Recruitment & Digital Engagement • Manage youth volunteer recruitment and re-engagement through targeted digital strategies, leveraging channels such as Instagram, TikTok and Telegram, while analysing and reviewing their effectiveness • Develop key messages and coordinate with external vendors to create publicity materials for mass outreach and programme sign-ups • Collaborate with internal Youth Corps teams to implement effective recruitment strategies Digital Assets & Social Media Management • Manage social media platforms and ensure Youth Corps website and DISCOVER: Civic Action portal remain current and youth-relevant • Curate social media content, plan calendar and monitor analytics to optimise engagement Operational Support • Assist in managing marketing budget allocation and procurement of marketing collaterals • Support space planning for The Red Box as a youth-friendly social action hub

What we are looking for

Skills & Knowledge: • Strong project management and coordination skills • Experience in marketing, digital communications and social media management • Graphic design skills and familiarity with design software like Canva, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop • Knowledge of youth engagement and development, brand management and public relations Personal Competencies: • Good writing and editing skills with good command of English • Creative, detail-oriented and organised with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight timelines • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills who thrives in dynamic environments • Enthusiastic about engaging youth volunteers, with availability on weekday evenings and weekends • Proactive and able to work independently Experience: • Experience in marketing, communications, digital engagement, or related fields • Experience in social media management, content creation and working with external vendors • Background in youth development or community sector preferred • Relevant experiences will be advantageous: Manager (1 to 3 years)
