What the role is

About IMDA:
The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) is Singapore's converged regulator for the infocomm media sector and digital transformation enabler for the nation. As the lead agency driving Singapore's digital economy transformation, IMDA develops world-class infocomm media infrastructure, creates growth opportunities for local enterprises, and builds a globally competitive workforce. Through strategic partnerships with government agencies and enterprises, IMDA accelerates the adoption of emerging technologies to strengthen Singapore's position as a leading digital economy and Smart Nation.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Manager, Presales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex digital challenges and innovative technology solutions. Working at the intersection of strategy, technology, and business transformation, you will engage directly with government agencies and enterprises to identify opportunities, design comprehensive solutions, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge digital technologies across Singapore's public and private sectors.

What you will be working on

1. Client Engagement & Problem Definition

  • Engage government agencies and enterprises to identify, distil, and prioritise digital pain points, translating broad challenges into clear problem statements and opportunity areas.
  • Work with business and IT stakeholders, including senior management and CXOs, to understand strategic objectives, operational constraints, and technology readiness.
  • Advise clients on how digital and emerging technologies can address complex, cross-functional, or sector-level challenges.

2. Solutioning & Use Case Development

  • Scope, design, and structure use cases that may span multiple Accreditation and Spark portfolio companies, ensuring solutions are coherent, scalable, and outcome-driven.
  • Unpack and evaluate emerging and frontier technologies (e.g. AI, data platforms, cybersecurity, cloud, digital trust) and assess their applicability to real-world enterprise and government use cases.
  • Develop end-to-end solution concepts, including functional flows, high-level architectures, and implementation considerations.

3. Presales & Opportunity Support

  • Support value creation teams to identify, qualify, and prioritise opportunities for technology solutioning across the portfolio.
  • Participate in buyer meetings, solution discussions, and presentations to articulate value propositions, solution approaches, and trade-offs clearly and credibly.
  • Translate client requirements into solution proposals, covering technical approach, commercial considerations, delivery models, and potential partners.

4. Demonstrations, Workshops & Enablement

  • Design and conduct innovation workshops, product demonstrations, and technical deep-dives to help buyers visualise solution value and adoption pathways.
  • Facilitate co-creation sessions with clients and portfolio companies to refine use cases and align expectations across stakeholders.

5. Market Intelligence & Solution Curation

  • Identify, assess, and benchmark top-tier digital solutions from global and local technology leaders, ensuring alignment with enterprise and government requirements.
  • Stay current on market trends, regulatory considerations, and technology developments to inform solution design and advisory conversations.
  • Provide feedback to portfolio and internal teams on market demand signals, gaps, and emerging opportunities.

What we are looking for

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in technology consulting, presales, solution architecture, or digital transformation roles
  • Proven track record of engaging with C-level executives and senior government officials
  • Deep understanding of enterprise and government technology landscapes, including cloud platforms, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and data analytics
  • Experience in solution design and technical architecture for complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Position will commensurate with experience.
