What you will be working on
- Deliver lectures, tutorials and student consultations in assigned subjects, including but not limited to:
- Engineering Fundamentals: Engineering Physics, Engineering Mathematics, Computer Programming, and Data Analytics; and
- Aviation & Aerospace: Engineering Materials, Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Structures, Gas Turbine Engines, Aviation Legislation & Human Factors, and Engine Maintenance & Workshop Practices.
- Review, design and develop subject curricula, learning materials, assessments, and delivery strategies to support effective teaching and learning outcomes.
- Supervise and assess students undertaking internships and major projects.
- Collaborate with local and overseas industry partners and educational institutions to plan and lead staff and student projects, learning journeys, and overseas programmes.
- Co-organise and support polytechnic-wide events, initiatives, or academic activities.
- Support teaching and academic activities outside of normal office hours, where required.
What we are looking for
- Qualifications in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in aerospace R&D and/or Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO).
- Passed, or willing to undertake and pass, CAAS SAR‑66 Modules M6 to M10, to be certified as an Instructor for relevant subjects under the AEG curriculum.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interest and aptitude in knowledge sharing, teaching, and engaging with youth.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently as well as in cross‑functional and multidisciplinary teams.
- Adaptable, versatile, and able to perform effectively in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Experience in space technology will be an advantage.
