The Smart Nation Group – Digital Government (SNDG), under the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and administratively managed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), is at the forefront of the Singapore Government’s digital transformation. We shape and implement strategies and policies to achieve our vision of a Digital Government that is Digital to the core and serves with heart. This includes building long-term digital capabilities for the public sector, driving innovation across Government agencies, and ensuring digital services are user-centric, secure and resilient.
The Cybersecurity and Resilience team under the Technology and Capability Division is responsible for the policies that ensure our digital government infrastructure and services are resilient, secure and trusted.
We are seeking an individual who can navigate the tension between rapid tech innovation and security. This role requires the ability to evaluate the strategic implications of technological shifts and partner stakeholders to develop sound and effective policy solutions to address them.

What you will be working on
In this role, you will work closely with senior management, GovTech as well as other agencies and divisions to:
• Drive and implement whole-of-government policies that integrate security-by-design and resilience into digital products and services
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and cloud, to determine their regulatory and security implications and how best to enable its effective but safe use
• Collaborate with GovTech to effect change management and operationalise technology policies across government agencies
• Refine and maintain relevance of ICT and data incident management frameworks to enable prompt and effective response and remediation

An ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Degree and professional experience in related domains such as cybersecurity, technology policy, security, computer science, public policy or government affairs
• Strong analytical thinking and possess intellectual curiosity
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Adept at developing a comprehensive understanding of issues quickly and generate innovative and practical solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders; including multi-agency and inter-departmental teams.
• Good appreciation of cybersecurity and tech trends (e.g. machine learning / AI) as well as their societal and regulatory implications.
• Driven and comfortable working in dynamic and fast-paced environments
Having the following job experience is advantageous:
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives, manage resources and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Developing policies and strategies within a large organisation or experience in consulting, a start-up or other business environment.
• Having presented recommendations to senior stakeholders and management.
