Manager (Finance), NE CDC
What the role is
What you will be working on
- Ensure that all accounting transactions/payments are captured timely and accurately, whilst ensuring compliance to CDC’s Rules and PA’s Financial Guidelines.
- Provide guidance to Executives on day-to-day operations and finance matters.
- Ensure timely GST submission, month-end, year-end closing and other reporting.
- Assist the Senior Manager (Finance) in the preparation and co-ordination of financial, scheme and any other ad-hoc audits.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements which accurately reflect the CDC’s operations and financial position.
- Assist the Senior Manager (Finance) in the implementation of accounting systems, procedures and sound internal controls, as well as the continuous review of work processes in order to provide efficiency to the finance section.
- Assist the Senior Manager (Finance) in the co-ordination, preparation and review of the overall budgetary position of the CDC in accordance to budgetary exercise cycle.
- Support the Senior Manager (Finance) in monitoring budget requirements and expenditure controls to ensure optimal and proper utilisation of funds.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with the Finance Committee for finance reporting and Council meetings.
What we are looking for
Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties.
- Support the Senior Manager (Finance) in collating and providing relevant data requested by internal (People’s Association) and external (e.g., Department of Statistics, Attorney-General’s Chambers) stakeholders.
- Liaise with banks and vendors on finance and payment matters.
- Cover the duties of the Senior Manager (Finance) during their absence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Knowledge & Skills
At least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in accounting and financial audit.
Preferred: Relevant experience using Workday.
• Good knowledge of and familiarity with Workday and Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
