What the role is

To support the development of Community Development Council (CDC) through outreach
and engagement of partners with the purpose of forming collaboration to further the CDC’s
mission and objective.

What you will be working on

  • Relationship manager to assigned divisions within the district.
  • Work closely with the Constituency Offices of assigned divisions in providing social and employment assistance to the needy within the division.
  • Attend CDC, CCC and social services-related meetings/events to provide prompt and direct service to stakeholders in assigned divisions
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the characteristics of each of the assigned division in the district and identifies opportunities for collaboration.
  • Assist Senior Manager in executing plans for the development of CDC to achieve community goals.
  • Develop and execute district level CDC projects and joint-projects with CDC community partners such as Grassroots Organisations, community partners, schools, government bodies and non-government organisations.

  • Engage in research, needs assessments, and gather data to build institutional knowledge to enhance effectiveness of CDC projects.

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to projects organised by PA Headquarters.

  • Provide administrative/logistical support and guidance to the Standing Committees and project joint partners to facilitate effective implementation of their activities.

  • Provide accurate record of the Standing Committee meetings in minutes

What we are looking for

Other ad-hoc duties not covered under main responsibilities and duties.

• Cover the duties of Senior Manager (Projects) during his/her absence

• Performs other duties as assigned by senior officers

Requirements:

  • Good co-curricular activities record

  • Relevant knowledge or experience from work or previous voluntary/community activities/social work sector.
  • Knowledge of 2nd language is useful (e.g. Mandarin, Malay or Tamil).
  • Knowledge with Social Media tools are useful.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to attend night meetings and events on weekends.
