Join the Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) RPG undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children and families. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending. Description of Division/Branch The Gambling Safeguards is the Secretary to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). It administers social safeguards and support individuals and/or their families affected by problem gambling.

What you will be working on

Brief description of Job Scope You will be part of a team that administers the imposition of NCPG’s social safeguards to protect vulnerable individuals and their families from gambling ills. As a Manager (Operations, Social Safeguards), your role involves managing cases to help families and individuals who are at-risk of harms of gambling. You will be responsible for conducting interviews with individuals and assessing their level of risk of problem gambling. You will be presenting cases before a Committee of Assessors for a decision to be made on the case. In this role, you will be working with clients as well as both internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational goals. You will also undertake operational reviews or projects to refine processes to enhance service delivery. To be successful in this role, you must be empathetic, a good listener, be able to ask pertinent questions, writes and communicates well. Responsibilities • Communicate and explain social safeguard measures clearly to individuals and their families, ensuring understanding and compliance. • Conduct case assessments, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to assessors for deliberation. • Provide client support in navigating and transacting on digital platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience. • Facilitate access to support programmes and alternative interventions through appropriate referrals to internal and external stakeholders. • Deliver high-quality, client-centric service with professionalism and sensitivity. • Review and enhance service delivery workflows and standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

What we are looking for

Job Requirements • Tertiary qualification preferably in Social Work, Psychology or Sociology. Any other related trainings will be considered. • Experience in service planning and operations will be an advantage • Skills on the ease of use of AI, data analytics, trends analysis will be an advantage. • Be customer oriented, meticulous and analytical. • Possess good interpersonal, written and communication skills. • A team player who can manage clients and stakeholders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
