What the role is

About CSA Established in 2015, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) seeks to keep Singapore’s cyberspace safe and secure to underpin our Nation Security, power a Digital Economy and protect our Digital Way of Life. It maintains an oversight of national cybersecurity functions and works with sector leads to protect Singapore’s Critical Information Infrastructure. CSA also engages with various stakeholders to heighten cyber security awareness, build a vibrant cybersecurity ecosystem supported by a robust workforce, pursue international partnerships and drive regional cybersecurity capacity building programmes. CSA is part of the Prime Minister’s Office and is managed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information. For more news and information, please visit www.csa.gov.sg Role The Emerging Technologies team develops, implements, and manages cybersecurity policies and strategies in emerging technologies (including quantum, cloud, artificial intelligence), and emerging risks, to advance and strengthen Singapore’s national cybersecurity interests.

What you will be working on

Responsibilities As the Deputy Director of the Emerging Technology team, you will lead and supervise the strategy and policy development for emerging technology, in support of national cybersecurity capability. Your responsibilities will include to: • Spearhead and supervise the continued development, enhancement and review of strategic plans, masterplans to address the cybersecurity implications of emerging technologies. • Collaborate with technical and policy stakeholders in WOG, industry and international agencies to understand technology developments and risks, to inform the design and execution of cybersecurity strategies and masterplans • Conduct research and analysis on strategic trends in emerging technologies • Represent CSA in presentations on policies, plans and strategies to senior management and external stakeholders. • Any ad-hoc duties assigned by senior management.

What we are looking for

Requirements You should have: • A tertiary qualification, preferably in engineering, computer science or other technical fields • At least 8 -10 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: (1) strategy and/or policy development; (2) technology policy development, including cybersecurity; (3) international relations. Experience in a similar role in the public sector would be an advantage • Strong communication and analytical skills, both in presentations and written formats • Willingness to learn and take on a diverse range of work, and able to operate in ambiguous and unstructured work environments If you share our passion to make a difference in the cyber security landscape, take up the challenge and apply now.
