Executive Manager (Mandai Crematorium Section)

What the role is

We are looking for a resourceful and service-oriented individual to join the Memorial Services and Operations Division which oversees the operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria. You will be stationed at a Mandai Crematorium and will play a key role in providing after-death care service.

What you will be working on

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team of the crematorium to achieve optimal maintenance standard.
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programmes for the crematorium facilities and equipment
  • Manage operations for special annual festivals such as Qing Ming.
  • Review and monitor cremation processes to enhance productivity and service standards.
  • Handle and manage feedback/appeals from members of public.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

What we are looking for

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of working experience in environmental public health, or other fields with operations or service management in a leadership position.  Experience in the operations and maintenance of process plant equipment would be an advantage.
  • Able to lead, interact and foster teamwork
  • Able to handle adverse situations and difficult customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Good problem-solving, writing & communication skills
  • Keen to take initiative and carry out plans
  • Meticulous, organised and able to multi-task
  • Mature, independent, responsible, and resourceful
  • Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement
  • Willing to work in after-death care services environment
  • Able to work on weekends and public holidays
