What the role is

Oversee the administration of the regulatory controls for complementary health products regulatory controls, to ensure protection of the health and safety of consumers while not impeding innovation by the industry.

What you will be working on

  • Formulate, consult and implement the regulatory controls for complementary health products, including health supplements.
  • Establish technical standards relevant to the safety, quality and labelling of complementary health products.
  • Lead a team of regulatory scientists in the safety and quality evaluation of complementary health products.
  • Lead a team of staff officers in carrying out post-market vigilance and surveillance functions for complementary health products.
  • Drive process reviews and the use of digitalisation tools to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory functions for complementary health products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advance the regulatory objectives of regulatory convergence, industry development and consumer protection.
  • Oversee the management of enquiries on complementary health products from industry, the public and other stakeholders.

What we are looking for

Experience & Knowledge

  • Background in pharmacy, life sciences, biomedical sciences or equivalent science-related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical evaluation and regulatory affairs relating to health supplements.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a team management or supervisory role.
  • Good knowledge of the local and global health supplements landscape, technical standards and regulatory controls.

The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
