What the role is

Get ready to embark on a transformative journey with HTX's newly formed xCode function, focusing on the organic in-house development of core software modules for the mission critical and sensitive systems. This new setup aims to achieve greater control, agility and responsiveness to evolving operation needs to the dynamic operating environment for software delivery.

What you will be working on

Role Overview: Drive hands-on technical execution and team leadership within specific engineering domains, translating architectural vision into high-quality, scalable solutions whilst mentoring development teams. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Implementation: • Lead technical implementation within assigned domain expertise (front end, back end, data management, QA & testing, etc.) working closely with Principal Engineers on solution design • Drive hands-on development of complex features and critical system components, setting technical standards through exemplary code quality • Architect and implement technical solutions for individual systems and components within the broader solution framework • Conduct technical assessments and provide guidance on implementation approaches to ensure optimal performance and maintainability Technical Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: • Facilitate technical discussions and drive continuous improvement in delivery practices • Support recruitment activities by conducting technical interviews and assessing candidate capabilities • Champion knowledge sharing through technical presentations, documentation, and cross-team collaboration Quality Assurance & Standards: • Implement and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality gates within development workflows • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions • Ensure adherence to architectural principles, security standards, and performance requirements • Drive automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and deployment practices to enhance delivery reliability Cross-functional Collaboration: • Partner closely with Product Teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and delivery plans • Collaborate with other Lead Engineers across domains to ensure seamless integration and consistent technical approaches • Support technical decision-making by providing domain expertise and implementation feasibility assessments • Contribute to technical roadmap planning and estimation activities for product delivery milestones

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field •Minimum of 8 years' experience in software engineering and over 6 years as a Backend/Full Stack Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar role. •Minimum of 5 years' experience in developing and delivering large-scale projects with primarily in-house developed software products, including multi-site deployment and proven track records. •Experience in architecting and designing data-intensive enterprise cloud-based solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure. •Proficient with strong knowledge of development, DevOps, and maintenance best practices. •Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator). •Proficient with container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes). •Ability to guide the team to adhere to industry best practices for quality assurance in software development, technical evaluation, and benchmarking, optimizing the approach depending on project requirements. •Ensure software security by implementing rigorous security testing plans and protocols and adhering to industry-standard security protocols. •Experience in leading architecture and integration teams and mentoring junior testers. All new appointees are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure overtime, based on performance.
