You will be part of the Sustainability Skills for Mitigation, Adaptation, and Resilience Transformation (SSMART) Office, which functions as a planner, driver and coordinator for sustainability training across Whole-Of-Government (WOG), including MSE and its Statutory Boards. SSMART Office oversees:
• Building capabilities of public officers for sustainability priorities and work, and to tackle emerging climate change challenges
• Development of key partnerships with other government agencies and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to design training programmes and courses
• Curation of knowledge and key learnings into learning cases for sustainability training
• Scaling of training programmes for public officers, including middle management, and other leaders, guided by the Climate Change and Sustainability (CC&S) Learning Framework
• Tracking of sustainability training progress, and providing regular updates on sustainability training developments and impact
• Coordination for WOG sustainability training, including representing MSE at inter-agency platforms and coordinating Ministry family positions on WOG issues

What you will be working on
Supporting the Team Lead in formulating strategies and implementing plans to advance CC&S training, your key responsibilities include:
• [CC&S Framework and Strategy] Focusing WOG and MSE Family CC&S training priorities and efforts aligned to the learning framework and roadmap, with guidance from steering committees
• [CC&S Knowledge Curation] Developing partnerships and working with partners to curate knowledge and grow the training ecosystem
• [WOG CC&S Training Integration] Communicating and synergising efforts across WOG and MSE Family to scale the training of public officers in CC&S competencies, including updating progress made in CC&S training and organising periodic WOG and MSE Family sustainability training meetings
• [Division Planning and Operations] Supporting the planning, resourcing, and administration to enable CC&S training efforts, including the adoption of AI to accelerate learning and development
What we are looking for
• Tertiary qualifications in any discipline, with good knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues
• Relevant experience in learning and development, capability building, or organisational development, including familiarity with competency framework development and implementation
• Comfortable working with data — able to track KPIs, interpret training metrics, and support data-driven decision-making
• Independent, proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment
• Able to navigate ambiguity and work effectively in a fast-changing environment
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across agencies and with senior leadership
• Proficiency in design and e-learning authoring tools such as Canva, Articulate, Adobe Photoshop, or the Adobe Creative Suite
• Competent in organising thoughts, communicating with clarity and impact, as well as articulating and presenting ideas clearly and persuasively
