You are responsible for developing and executing the Security Education Workplan for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), translating security policy developments and risk areas into engaging and effective security education materials and content. You will play a key role in raising and reinforcing security awareness across RSN personnel at various stages of their careers.

What you will be working on
- Develop and execute the RSN Security Education Workplan to forecast and determine education focus areas, including cadence of security education, security training at Route of Advance (ROA) courses, and creation and dissemination of security content
- Develop, generate, review and deliver high quality and interactive security education materials and content including infographics, short-form media, roadshows and technology-enabled solutions to raise security awareness through official channels
- Deliver security education and training at ROA courses such as Naval Specialist Officers' Courses (NSOC) to reinforce security awareness at various stages of RSN personnel's careers
- Update evolving security trends and threats promptly within lecture materials to upkeep the relevance and effectiveness of security lectures
- Manage administration of the helpdesk by providing meaningful and actionable first-level solutions to units
- Oversee and manage the Base Pass Buddy application, including clearance and submission of applications for approval
- Manage the Unit Security Officers (USOs) certification process in RSN units to ensure USOs are kept up-to-date with the latest requirements and policies and possess sufficient expertise to enforce security measures in their units
- Conduct regular reviews of the Security Education Workplan in response to changes in the security landscape
Challenge(s)
- Educating RSN personnel on existing security gaps from daily operations and innovation projects by navigating established security measures and policies, whilst developing interactive and targeted materials for various demographics and exploring non-traditional means to reach different target audiences
- Working with different stakeholders across services and the Military Security Department (MSD) to learn from other services' past cases and translating them into RSN-applicable context to ensure effective protective security measures are in place
What we are looking for
- Education in Design and Development of Learning Performance, Learning Design and Technology, Instructional Design Technology, or related fields
- Experience in teaching or training including designing learning objectives, materials, assessments and content scaffolding would be advantageous
- Background in security operations would be an added advantage
- Competency in design software for developing teaching materials with proficiency in office suite applications
- Familiarity with digital content creation and multimedia production with ability to develop engaging and interactive learning materials
- Forward-thinking mindset with strong communication skills and staff writing skills to provide clear and concise content easily understood across different audiences, including copywriting for digital channels
- Strong leadership skills with ability to bridge the knowledge gap between non-security trained personnel and translate current security gaps into accessible learning content
- A portfolio showcasing past projects in instructional design or content creation would be beneficial
