Logistics Officer - SPF/SOC

Special Operations Command (SOC) is the lead tactical arm of SPF to provide highest level of tactical option to combat crime, terrorism and public disorder. We seek to constantly explore, innovate and adapt cutting-edge technology to support our officers to enhance policing efforts for crime fighting. As a Logistics Officer in the SOC, you play a critical part in the supply chain operations, manage established contracts and handle procurement of goods and services using the Integrated Logistics Management System (iLMS) to support SOC’s mission and continuity of all operations. You will become part of the logistics fraternity where you get to learn and be au fait with the Government Instruction Manuals (IM) on procurement and finance and be equipped with knowledge to advise and guide officers on procurement procedures. You will work with various logistics departments in MHA and Police HQ.

We are looking for a pro-active and dynamic individual to be part of our Logistics Team. You will need to be a meticulous person with a sharp eye for numbers and always plan ahead to ensure sufficient supplies of all required inventories/logistics and continuity of all procured services to maintain buildings, infrastructures and operations. With a quick-thinking mind, you learn to identify, flag and resolve potential issues to ensure procurements are conducted in a fair, transparent and value-for-money manner. You shall be self-motivated and use initiative to improve and streamline work processes to improve work quality. You will ensure effective and efficient execution of various processes within Logistics section. You shall provide services for internal customers by providing prompt and accurate responses to requests and enquiries from officers and supervisors. You will assist in reviewing existing procedures and current state of procurement processes and contract management for improvement. You shall ensure the compliance of procedures, propose improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity, and implement preventive measures to minimise any procurement, contract management and supply risks.
