As a (Senior) Officer, Developer in the Communications and Engagement Group (CEG), you will be part of a team to design, develop, maintain and enhance digital platforms, online tools and applications, perform data analytics to derive insights, whilst driving innovative approaches to stakeholder engagement and communication.

What you will be working on
• Develop well-structured, efficient and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, plan project timelines, develop technical specifications and deliver robust solutions
• Conduct data analysis, create comprehensive reports and build interactive dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders
• Coordinate with external vendors to oversee software development projects and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
• Drive digital transformation initiatives and identify strategic opportunities to strengthen CEG's communications and engagement capabilities

What we are looking for
• Proven experience in web and application development with a strong project portfolio
• Proficiency in modern web technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks and/ or responsive design principles) and programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python and/ or PHP)
• Experience in database design and optimisation using systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and/ or NoSQL solutions
• Strong analytical skills with data visualisation experience using SQL, Excel, Tableau and/ or Power BI
• Knowledge of UX/ UI design principles for desktop and mobile platforms, with experience in user-centred design
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, API development and/ or cloud technologies would be an advantage
