What the role is

Position is responsible for establishing, governing, and sustaining a consistent Campus BIM Framework across NYP’s Campus Rejuvenation and Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects. The role ensures that all project BIM models and asset information are compliant, interoperable, and fit for purpose for as built delivery, Campus Master BIM integration, Digital Twin readiness, and downstream operations and facilities management (FM).

What you will be working on

BIM Governance and Framework

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Campus BIM Roadmap and Framework, including Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), BIM Execution Plan (BEP) templates, modelling standards, and data exchange protocols.
  • Define and enforce BIM uses, modelling methodologies, levels of information need, and data requirements across all project stages.
  • Establish standardised model structures, naming conventions, classification systems, and information schemas to ensure consistency and interoperability across projects.
  • Act as the single point of contact for BIM governance, coordinating with consultants, contractors, internal stakeholders, IT, facilities management, and sustainability teams.

Common Data Environment (CDE) and Information Management

  • Set up, administer, and govern the Campus Common Data Environment (CDE) to support campus wide BIM adoption.
  • Manage access controls, data security, versioning, and information integrity in accordance with organisational IT and data governance policies.
  • Perform the role of Information Manager, coordinating model exchanges and ensuring timely, accurate, and controlled information flow among project stakeholders.

Project BIM Compliance and Assurance

  • Review, approve, and audit project specific BIM Execution Plans submitted by consultants and contractors to ensure contractual and organisational compliance.
  • Enforce BIM requirements throughout design development, construction coordination, and as built model development.
  • Conduct regular BIM audits, quality checks, and compliance reviews against campus standards, contractual requirements, and Digital Twin readiness criteria.
  • Lead or participate in BIM coordination, model review, and clash detection meetings where required.

As Built BIM, Asset Data, and Digital Twin Readiness

  • Ensure that as built BIM models and asset information are complete, accurate, and structured for downstream use, including operations and maintenance, asset and space management, and sustainability reporting.
  • Ensure individual project models are appropriately structured and federated for integration into the Campus Master BIM.
  • Maintain consistency in spatial referencing, parameters, and data schemas to support analytics, simulation, and future predictive use cases.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support Digital Twin implementation, including data pipelines, model synchronisation, and interoperability with FM, BMS/EMS, IoT, and asset management systems.

Data Security and Information Governance

  • Establish and enforce robust data security and information governance controls within the CDE and across all BIM and Digital Twin datasets.
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of operational, security sensitive, and public facing information layers.
  • Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and facilities management teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with system integration and data exposure.
  • Lead periodic reviews and audits of BIM data management practices to ensure continued compliance and risk mitigation.

Capability Development and Support

  • Develop BIM guidance notes, standards, checklists, and training materials to uplift organisational BIM capability.
  • Provide technical advice and clarification on BIM requirements to project teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to estate data, asset information management, and campus digitalisation.

What we are looking for

  • Relevant qualification Architecture, Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant BIM experience, including demonstrated experience in BIM standards and framework development, asset information modelling and FM handover, BIM‑to‑Digital Twin workflows (advantageous)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software across Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines.
  • Good understanding of Singapore construction industry regulations and prevailing BIM guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and technical knowledge in BIM and construction management
