What the role is

Project : Methodological Review of the Sample Design for the Household Expenditure Survey (HES) 2028 DOS conducts the Household Expenditure Survey to update the weighting pattern and expenditure basket of goods and services, for compilation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), an indicator of inflation in Singapore. Data collected are also used to support policy planning, and review studies on household income and expenditure patterns by government agencies, private sector organisations and the general public. This project reviews the sampling methodology, including impact on data precision for HES 2028.

What we are looking for

Proficient in Python relevant to data compilation, integration, analysis and regression Knowledge or experience in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accountancy, Actuarial Science or subjects with substantial quantitative content Required Duration: Jul/Aug 2026 to Dec 2026/Jan 2027 [Min. 24 weeks]
