What the role is

ECDA's Sector Planning team is responsible for the planning, design and development of preschool supply, to meet the demand for pre-school services in Singapore. This is a critical function to achieve Government's goal of providing accessible, affordable and quality preschool services for young families.

What you will be working on

- Analyse and harness insights from preschool-related data to enhance preschool infrastructure planning and service delivery. - Monitor and propose responses to fast-changing trends in the preschool sector. Communicate findings through visualisations and presentations/reports to internal and external stakeholders. - Conduct studies, feasibility assessments, evaluate proposals and guide implementation of preschool infrastructure plans with government agencies and industry partners.

What we are looking for

- Data Analytics or related qualifications - Good understanding of data analysis concepts and statistical methods - Proficient in data modelling techniques (e.g. using R) and data visualisation (e.g. using PowerBI) - Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy - Good communication and interpersonal skills

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024, 2025 or 2026 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
  • Applicants must have no prior working experience and must be prepared to commit to a full-time traineeship.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2026 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2027 are eligible for the programme as well.
