What the role is

You are responsible for developing content and managing the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN)'s social media channels and website, together with the Navy's team of social media managers. You will also provide subject matter expertise for graphic design, long-form written content and infographic design across RSN's public communication collaterals.

What you will be working on

- Conceptualise and produce content suitable for RSN's digital channels, including the website and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn - Research and identify new social media trends and production techniques to keep RSN's digital presence current and engaging - Coordinate website server maintenance and troubleshoot issues with external vendors - Monitor digital channels and respond to comments and queries where appropriate - Support the development of crisis communication content and responses during incidents Challenge(s) - Managing multiple content projects concurrently, developing differentiated content across channels to drive audience growth - Translating military concepts and ideas into interesting nuggets for target audience engagement - Balancing creative approaches with positive portrayal of the RSN, while ensuring operational and information security - Staying abreast of latest trends and developments, not only on social media, but also in the larger communication landscape

What we are looking for

- Education in Mass Communications, Communications and New Media, Marketing, or a related field - Experience in the media industry with hands-on experience managing social media platforms and producing digital content for organisational communications is advantageous - Familiarity with the features and trends of current and emerging social media platforms - Good interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple external agencies to achieve campaign outcomes - Ability to think on your feet and work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines - Proficiency in graphic design and infographic creation, with experience using design tools (Applicants with no experience may apply.)
