What you will be working on
- Drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of NYP’s Data Governance framework, policies and standards.
- Translate enterprise data governance policies into practical processes and guidelines, and review them regularly for improvement.
- Provide overarching guidance and support to staff on data governance and management related matters.
- Implement data asset inventory, data quality metrics, dashboards and remediation plans with real-time alerting.
- Conduct access rights reviews and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks for the data lake.
- Coordinate data-related assessments and audit responses.
- Collaborate on the development and maintenance of technological tools to enhance data management.
- Champion organisation-wide education on data classification and the responsible use of Data & AI.
What we are looking for
- Qualification in Information Systems, IT, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data governance, data management, or GRC roles.
- Familiarity with data maturity assessments and lifecycle management; professional certifications (CDMP, DGSP or CDPSE) are a plus.
- Ability to translate complex technical governance policies into actionable solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving cross-departmental data issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
