What the role is
What you will be working on
1. Conduct lessons, create teaching and assessment materials and mentoring of students.
2. Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum for learning units related to Aeronautical Engineering, Aerodynamics, Aircraft Structures & Systems, Propulsion and Engine Maintenance, Maintenance Practices, Aviation Legislation, Human Factors etc.
3. Undertake projects/applied research work with both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Deploy effective pedagogical approaches to enhance student learning.
5. Lead or represent in committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, student recruitment, project management etc.)

What we are looking for
1. Relevant qualifications in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
2. At least five years of relevant work experience in the Aerospace Industry, including areas such as Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), Aerospace Manufacturing, Aviation Operations, Aerospace Systems Development, Engines.
3. Passionate about education and keen on mentoring, teaching and motivating youth and adult learners.
4. Strong industry linkages in the related field.
5. Self-driven, independent and possesses the readiness to work as a team.
6. A people-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
7. Keen interest in developing new capabilities through projects and self-learning.
8. Possess a strong interest in exploring new technologies.
9. Competent in digital and/or cyber security industry practices.
It would be an advantage if you
• have multi-disciplinary expertise across areas such as Aerodynamics, Aircraft Structures, Propulsion, Aircraft Systems, Maintenance Practices, Aviation Operations, or Human Factors.
• have relevant industry experience in areas such as Aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Aerospace Manufacturing, Aviation Operations, Aerospace Systems Development, or Engines.
• have strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
• have the ability to contribute to applied projects, industry collaborations, or consultancy work.
• have experience in organising and delivering industry-related seminars on Aerospace/Aviation.
