What the role is:

Part of the Digital Readiness Cluster in IMDA, the Digital Literacy & Wellness Division seeks to prepare our people for the digital society, supporting Singaporeans of all ages with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to navigate the digital space and stay safe online.

You will be part of a dynamic team which develops curriculum and curates content and partnerships to prepare Singaporeans to be future ready in the digital world.

We are seeking a strategic and resourceful officer to push out Public Education resources and initiatives on Digital Literacy (including AI literacy) and Digital Wellness (including Online Safety). This role requires (i) strong research skills into emerging technology and online safety, (ii) ability to create impactful and engaging resources, and (iii) ability to cultivate new and/or galvanise existing partnership channels, with the end goal of having individuals take action to be digitally confident, adept and safe.

What you will be working on

  • Conduct landscape scans to identify up to date, in-demand digital skills, emerging digital wellness cum online safety areas, and chart the learning pathways of target segments to achieve our objectives;
  • Formulate learning design and delivery approaches for different target segments (e.g. seniors, youths, parents etc) and recommend suitable pedagogy to ensure learning effectiveness and engagement;
  • Design and create engaging and interactive learning resources, and/or partner with subject matter experts to develop and curate training content to address learning needs;
  • Ensure all resources are accurate, relevant and reflect current digital trends and wellness practices;
  • Develop and implement public education strategies that simplify complex emerging tech, or online safety issues for easy public understanding and actioning;
  • Assess, establish and manage a network of partners to deliver training programmes and resources, and enhance outreach efforts; and
  • Collect and analyse data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for enhancement of programmes and public education efforts and refine strategies accordingly

What we are looking for

  • Background in Communications, Public Policy, Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning or a related field is preferred.
  • 4-8 years of proven experience in curriculum and content development with the ability to create user-friendly educational materials, preferably in public education campaigns, digital literacy/digital wellness/online safety advocacy.
  • Good knowledge of digital tools, technologies and best practices for online learning, and experience in using instructional design software applications will be an advantage.
  • Agile project management skills, including meticulousness in tracking and reporting project schedules, and experience in measuring engagement and impact.
  • Strong partnership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Creative and critical problem solver, with ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for public understanding.
