What the role is

You are responsible for overseeing all virtual simulation matters for the Army and managing administrative affairs within the unit.

What you will be working on

- Manage operational contracts to ensure systems are always available for training needs - Manage daily operations, maintenance, and system performance to ensure high availability and reliability - Oversee service providers to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance, timely issue resolution, and continuous system improvements - Work closely with training units to align systems with training objectives, enhance utilisation, and support user competency - Plan upgrades, manage obsolescence, and introduce new simulation technologies to enhance training realism and effectiveness Challenge(s) - Ensuring high system availability and training output despite manpower constraints and increasing operational demands - Maintaining performance and user confidence in legacy systems whilst planning upgrades and integrating new simulation technologies - Keeping abreast of emerging information technologies to provide an effective and conducive training environment

What we are looking for

- Education in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - At least 6 years of experience in simulation systems, IT systems, engineering, or operations management - Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex simulation environments - Effective stakeholder and vendor management abilities - Good analytical and data interpretation skills - Strong communication skills with the ability to translate operational needs into technical requirements - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to function effectively as both a leader and a team player Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
