What the role is

As a Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) with Jurong Water Reclamation Plant, your responsibilities would include the following:

What you will be working on

• Monitor, control, supervise and optimise day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) of Mechanical equipment. Ensure that staff operate and maintain the equipment efficiently and reliably. • Prepare and follow up on safety, operation and maintenance reports. • Coordinate and ensure renewal of equipment and asset management to ensure plant operational reliability. • Prepare specifications, scope of works and cost estimates and assist in the calling of tenders /quotations for operation, maintenance and repair works. • Coordinate with staff and contractors for maintenance activities such as shutdown works and defects rectifications. Ensure maintenance schedule records are properly prepared and planned works are timely executed. • Liaise and communicate with staff, contractors and stakeholders to achieve works targets and timeline, and manage operation, maintenance and safety issues at the Plant. • Prepare, coordinate and manage ad-hoc and overtime works to attend to urgent O&M works. • Monitor and manage the allocated OPEX funds and ensure that the works are carried out on time and funds are utilised based on schedule and within budget. • Raise and validate Purchase Order (PO), Works Order (WO), Goods Receipt Note (GRN) and Completion Certificates (CC) and manage Asset Management System (AMS) for servicing, acquiring of materials, parts, equipment, and services for operations and maintenance. • Supervision of site works, and verification of works done. Check and vet service reports and supporting documents to certify payments. • Participate and execute projects to enhance operations, staff engagement, health and safety, and improve energy efficiency and productivity. • Assist the WSHO in coordinating Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) programmes and activities that include, and not limited to, documentation, safety inspection and follow up actions, trainings, incident investigation, as well as organising safety-related activities. • Manage and prepare relevant safety documents and ensure safety requirements and guidelines are adhered to. Manage Notice-To-Work/Permit-To-Work, prepare/review Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures documents.

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering • Candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience are preferred • Willingness to learn, teamwork, and strong safety mindset Work Location • Jurong Water Reclamation Plant
