Asst Engineer, Integrated Operations, Shift Operations, JWRP, WRP

As an Assistant Engineer / Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) with Jurong Water Reclamation Plant, your job responsibilities include the following:

• Monitor and control equipment and systems to produce effluent that meet the required specification and standards in accordance with operating guidelines and procedures. • Monitor critical operational and process parameters such as daily production, water quality, individual membrane performances, membrane air scouring flow and individual process train and air flow distribution to bioreactors, solids operations etc. Submit daily morning report to PUB Operation Centre, and Plant’s management. • Prepare and document all plant operations activities (e.g. plant and equipment abnormalities, process adjustments made, etc.), observations and performance according to prescribed formats (e.g. plant incident reports, operations logbook, etc.). • Coordinate with the maintenance team by supervising, participating and coordinating with the technician and worker in performing routine operation and maintenance work. • Maintain the chemical consumption and dosing such as sodium hydroxide, alum, sodium hypochlorite and citric acid as per requirement and complies with safety and procedure. • Lead, supervise, motivate and provide guidance to the team members and participate in projects and initiatives to achieve plant’s mission and objective. • Facilitate, liaise and communicate with staff and Contractors to achieve works targets and timeline, resolve technical issues related to operations. • Ensure safety standards of works carried out in the plant by providing safe work briefing to the contract workers, conduct regular safety inspection and prepare Notification/ Permit to Work. Prepare and review risk assessments and safe work procedures. Attend to any alarm, operational and emergency situations in accordance with operating guidelines and procedures.

• Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Civil/ Environmental Engineering or relevant discipline. • Candidate with Shift operations experience is preferred.
