The Legal Operations Group (LOG) is seeking outstanding and driven candidates with a keen interest in data to drive informed decisions- and policy-making.
We have opportunities in two teams: the Business Intelligence (BI) Team and the Data Team.
BI Team:
• Monitor, track and measure the effectiveness of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work with business units to ensure the provision of timely and reliable statistical reports to management.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes across the various divisions, collaborate with business users to extract actionable insights from data and processes and translate requirements into analytics solutions (e.g. dashboards, data products).
• Provide analytical data support to business units for the preparation of papers and research projects that will enable the organisation to manage or deal with its work more effectively or efficiently.
Data Team:
• Support the implementation of data transformation pipelines by working with stakeholders to understand business data needs and translating them into robust data models.
• Support the implementation of data quality standards and tests to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Assist in implementing data ingestion standards, technical specifications, and system integrations to collate comprehensive data on workload, performance measures, and resource allocation.
• Identify and resolve data gaps through enhancing current systems to support analytics needs across the organisation.
Common responsibilities:
• Participate and manage data / analytical / corporate projects in cross functional teams, assisting business units to improve data and reporting capabilities aligned to their core focus and priorities.
• Support data governance initiatives and stakeholder engagement to promote data literacy.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

What we are looking for
Requirements:
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or related quantitative disciplines
• Proficiency in SQL and Python and/or R. Candidates may be asked to complete a test or an assignment as part of our evaluation.
• Candidates looking to apply to the BI team should possess strong analytical skills with experience in data processing and visualisation tools such as Tableau. They should also have interest in stakeholder engagement.
• Candidates looking to apply to the Data team should have experience with handling data (merging data and data transformation). They should also have interest in data pipeline development, database management, and data architecture.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Familiarity or experience with legal industry processes, data governance or personal data protection will be an advantage.
• Experience in processing unstructured data for downstream use cases is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
