Senior Engineer (Civil Engineering)
What the role is
What you will be working on
Formulate policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOP) for the use of technologies and operations procedures to ensure operation sustainability. Review and prepare technical specifications for tender, contractual terms and requirement specifications for the procurement of contracts for good and services.
You will ensure the civil maintenance of buildings and facilities is in accordance with local building authorities’ standards, codes of practice and guidelines, such as BCA Green Mark requirements, Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act, as these buildings and facilities house critical equipment used for provision of Air Traffic Control (ATC) services. You will manage our maintenance contractors to ensure all maintenance services are performed to the highest performance standards, thus ensuring continued support for provision of ATC services.
You will ensure the overall quality and integrity of the projects and A & A works. You will manage the project resources, finance and schedule by working with both internal and external parties to deliver buildings and facilities that meet the specified requirements. You will also support the renovation of existing or development of new offices and equipment rooms from project initiation to occupation by users /system owners.
What we are looking for
Training in Civil Engineering, Project, and Facilities Management, Building or equivalent.
Experience in civil maintenance works such as daily and periodic cleaning services, grass cutting, waste disposal, pest control, waterproofing works, structural inspection, minor building works, etc., and good experience in drafting and managing contracts, in particular, facilities management contracts.
Experience in project management and facilities management, good knowledge of BIM concepts and management processes including BIM project implementation for existing and new initiatives.
Experience in Public Sector procurement procedures and regulatory requirements will be added advantage.
Ability to respond on-site any time and support night works and/or duties
Good team player who can work with officers of all levels
Possess good communication and writing skills, interpersonal skills, positive altitude and an aptitude for details
Have an inquisitive, open and analytical mind, and be self-driven
Ability to lead the adoption and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in building maintenance and facilities management (FM), while also performing project management duties for the construction of new buildings and improvement works to existing facilities.
Ability to apply AI‑driven solutions such as predictive maintenance, smart space utilisation analysis, and optimisation of cleaning schedules to improve operational efficiency.
Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
