What you will be working on

• Market Research & Vendor Engagement o Perform active and ongoing market research across identified capability demand areas. Engage vendors and industry partners to assess emerging technologies, evaluate fit-for-purpose solutions, and inform capability planning decisions. • Project Management o Lead end-to-end project management for capability delivery projects, encompassing the following: o Engage and manage all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to develop capability requirements, co-create user journeys, and manage user expectations effectively. o Support the Deputy Director/Head in obtaining approval for Requirement papers, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, with issues promptly resolved or escalated as appropriate. o Prepare technical documentation including technical specifications for tenders, system design documents, technical interface agreements, and test plans such as Factory Acceptance Tests and On-Site Acceptance Tests. o Ensure all systems meet cybersecurity and governance requirements, and that hardware and software components are properly integrated and tested in accordance with contractual obligations. o Oversee post-delivery (Day 2) activities to ensure smooth transition, operationalisation, and sustained performance of delivered capabilities.

What we are looking for

Job requirements • Tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information Technology or relevant disciplines • Preferably more than 3-5 years of relevant working experience. • Strong interest in technologies and innovation Personal Characteristics & Behaviours He / She should have • Good networking ability to build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders as well as potential vendors • Curiosity, adaptability and attitude of continuous learning to understand industry, emerging trends and new technology areas • Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset to identify gaps/opportunities and to craft innovative solutions for them. • Project management skills. PMP or equivalent certification would be an advantage. • Ability to work independently and as a team. • Familiarity with the Home Team environment would be an advantage. All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
