[Futures] Foresight Analyst/Senior Foresight Analyst

As a Foresight Analyst/Senior Foresight Analyst/Lead Foresight Analyst at the Centre for Strategic Futures, a strategic foresight think-tank housed within the Futures unit of Strategy Group, you will focus on open-ended, longer-term research to help inform public policy thinking, discover blind-spots and encourage more robust decision-making.

• Identify and develop research questions and analysis around under-addressed and/or emerging issues with an impact on public policy and governance in Singapore • Effectively communicate insights to stakeholders, including by designing appropriate materials and products • Design and facilitate conversations that influence policy thinking in government • Develop fellow agencies’ capabilities in strategic foresight and planning by tailoring and delivering appropriate learning activities and interventions • Provide technical expertise and advice to teams in government on futures-related projects and workstreams • Develop and maintain relationships with a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders • Supporting the Secretariat of inter-agency platforms for senior decision-makers

• Strong critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity and a sense of imagination and creativity. • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Workshop facilitation and information design skills would be an advantage. • Able to handle open-ended, qualitative research on long-term issues and work with agencies to articulate their impact on public policy and governance. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders. • Expertise in mathematics, science and technology or environmental studies, and/or prior work experience in the fields of research, policy analysis, futures or consulting, would be an advantage.
