You transform data into strategic intelligence to influence enlistment operations at the Central Manpower Base (CMPB). Going beyond reporting, you will uncover trends, diagnose operational challenges, and visualise insights that directly inform operational decision-making. You will bridge data and action, ensuring strategies are grounded in evidence and ground operations are optimised for impact, while playing a significant role in ensuring CMPB adopts data-driven decisions in meeting key performance indicators to enlist pre-enlistees in a timely manner.

What you will be working on
- Project enlistable resources and assess whether planned enlistment capacities are sufficient to meet assignment needs
- Incorporate relevant medical and fitness-related factors into enlistment projections to ensure accuracy and relevance of forecasts
- Analyse past trends to forecast upcoming demand and ensure adequate planning for enlistment-related programmes and activities
- Monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of policies and initiatives, and recommend adjustments to strategies where required
- Interface frequently with subject matter experts across varying processes to understand operational concerns and pain points
- Serve as a data consultant to help frame problems in ways that can be answered with data, and craft compelling narratives that communicate complex findings effectively to non-technical audiences
- Tailor visualisations and communication style to different stakeholders, ensuring clarity and driving informed debate for continual improvement
- Propose data-driven recommendations to aid management's decision-making and strengthen policy-operations integration
Challenge(s)
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of enlistment operations and policies across multiple process areas to ensure data projections and analyses are relevant, accurate, and actionable
- Managing data drawn from multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data merging and presentation whilst accounting for the dynamic nature of live data flows
What we are looking for
- Education in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 3 years of working experience in data analysis roles is preferred
- Proficiency in data handling, including data merging and transformation, data analysis methods, data management, and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with analytics tools such as Structured Query Language (SQL), R, Python, Qlik, or Tableau would be advantageous
- Strong ability to craft clear and compelling data narratives for non-technical audiences with excellent communication and visualisation skills
- Good stakeholder management skills with ability to interface effectively across diverse operational and policy teams
