[LTA-PSGO] DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION & SUSTAINABILITY
What the role is
What you will be working on
At LTA, we care about the environment that we work and live in. As we build our transport infrastructure, we are committed to minimising our environmental impact and adopting sustainable practices.
You will play a key role in driving environmental excellence and sustainability across LTA construction projects. Working within the Project SHE Governance Office, you will uphold environmental governance in LTA projects, develop data-driven insights, conceptualise frameworks and solutions to address environmental challenges and build environmental and sustainability capabilities among LTA staff and contractors.
You will support the implementation and enhancement of the Environmental Management System for LTA construction projects. This includes formulating environmental and sustainability policies and strategies, providing advisory support, conducting site audits and facilitating strategic partnerships with regulatory agencies on environmental matters. You will develop, advocate and monitor environmental and sustainability-related initiatives and practices across LTA construction projects, contributing to frameworks and solutions that address challenges such as construction noise management, vector control, water pollution control and carbon management.
You will conduct research and data analytics to gather insights on environmental and sustainability trends, and translate these findings into clear, actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.
You will build competency and enhance the environmental and sustainability awareness of our staff and stakeholders through conducting training, organising promotional events and developing promotional and awareness materials.
What we are looking for
• Knowledge in Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• A passion for environmental and sustainability issues and for developing creative and practical solutions
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to synthesise information and develop clear, well-structured content and recommendations
• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with management, different business functions in LTA, contractors, and external stakeholders
• Experience in developing environmental and sustainability training materials, or awareness campaigns
• Proficiency in Python, data analytics and visualisation tools, and AI tools
