What the role is

The Social Support Group (SSP) implements programmes and initiatives to support lower-income and vulnerable families so that they achieve stability, self-reliance and social mobility over time. Within the SSP, the ComLink+ Operations Branch works with Social Service Offices (SSOs) island-wide to steer and strengthen the social service ecosystem to deliver comprehensive, convenient and coordinated support for lower-income and vulnerable families.

What you will be working on

You will develop a keen understanding of the needs of lower-income and vulnerable families through data collection and visualisation to guide national planning of social services. You will also drive operational excellence by developing best practice frameworks across SSOs which will allow them drive community partnerships that would address identified needs. Your key responsibilities include: • Identifying underserved or emerging needs in the community through data and research • Developing and implementing best practices for SSO operations covering community asset and needs mapping, stakeholder engagement and development, and programme evaluation. • Developing and managing centralised data systems and tracking mechanisms to support best practice implementation across SSOs

What we are looking for

• Tertiary qualifications preferably in Social Sciences • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the social service sector, or relating to stakeholder engagement and impact measurement • Experience in geospatial analysis and community mapping, with familiarity or willingness to learn data visualisation and analytics tools (e.g. QGIS, Tableau, PowerBI) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to steer partnership across diverse internal (e.g. SSOs, other public agencies) and external stakeholders • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills • Proactive team player with a passion for serving lower-income and vulnerable families
