What you will be working on
1. Develop overall Games brand strategy, positioning, narrative and theme
• Lead brand proposition development including logo, tagline, mascot, and visual identity elements
• Oversee appointment and management of creative agencies for brand development and test
• Develop comprehensive brand guidelines and conduct familiarisation workshops
• Develop the brand guidelines and templates for the various Functional Areas’ (FA) implementation and customise different brand guides for the respective stakeholders.
2. Develop concept for Look-of-Games and implement the official City Dressing concept on an island-wide level
• Coordinate Look-of-Games concept and city dressing implementation
• Develop application guidelines and kit of parts for various FA's implementation
• Support the respective FAs with the implementation of a consistent look and feel, which will permeate various aspect of the Games’ venue dressing - venues, media, digital, merchandising, ticketing, city dressing, etc.
3. Build brand affinity, and prevent abuse and protect brand equity
• Manage brand protection policy and trademark processes
• Develop comprehensive brand guidelines and conduct familiarisation workshops
• Trademark all brands’ IP and protect all key Games’ marks
• Brand Protection Policy that covers the usage of all Games' marks, branding at venues, sponsors usage & anti ambush marketing.
4. Merchandising
• Guide the conceptualise and develop merchandising strategy for game branded merchandise, including portfolio development, pricing, design, production, and set up sales channels.
• Oversee appointment and management of master merchandise licensee
What we are looking for
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork and take pride in going the extra mile.
An ideal candidate should possess:
• Related qualification in Marketing, Communication Design, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of brand and marketing management experience
• Experience in large-scale event branding or sports marketing will be a bonus
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with creative & brand agencies, event management company, and external vendors
• Knowledge of brand protection and intellectual property matters
• Resourceful with strong interpersonal, communications and writing skills
• Independent and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong project management and budget management capabilities
• Sensitive towards sentiments, political and cultural nuances
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Experience in multi-stakeholder environments
• Commitment to the full project timeline through Games completion
• Confident in presentation and persuasion skills to influence people at all levels
• Demonstrate creative and critical thinking skills
• Able to handle multiple tasks and deliver within tight deadlines
