What the role is

The incumbent will be part of the Finance team involved in the monthly closing of financial accounts, management reporting, business partnering, and other finance functions such as GST reporting and liaison for external audit.

What you will be working on

Monthly closing of accounts, management reporting and liaising with external auditors

  • In-charge of monthly closing of accounts

  • Regular reporting of financial performance to Senior Management and Council members

  • In-charge of external audit

  • Identify and propose process improvements

  • Support system enhancements

Business Partnering

  • Partner internal stakeholders on financial operations, budgeting and resource management matters

  • Advise internal stakeholders on compliance with financial and procurement regulations and guidelines

Finance function such as GST Reporting

  • Oversee GST reporting to IRAS

  • Contribute to timely month-end closing and prepare / review financial schedules

  • Compile and submit ad-hoc returns to government entities

  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as assigned

  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting and stakeholder management

  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to handle large datasets

  • Excellent multitasking capabilities and proven track record of meeting tight deadlines

  • Analytical, resourceful and proactive approach with strong results orientation and customer focus

  • Positive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Government Instruction Manual on Finance and Procurement

  • Preferably a background in accounting or finance

  • Previous experience in business partnering roles
