What the role is

As part of the Incentive Policy team, you will play a key role in supporting the team's operational and policy functions across fund management, reporting, and processing.

You will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the integrity of the grants databases, including the issuance of reference numbers and timely updating of records across all grants. This encompasses tracking and capturing subsequent project milestones such as approvals and disbursements, ensuring data accuracy and completeness at all times.

You will lead the preparation of cashflow drawdown projection reports and manage the end-to-end processing of tax incentives-related documentation.

You will conduct compliance reviews on approved and disbursed grants, assessing adherence to existing policies and procedures, and be responsible for synthesising findings into comprehensive reports for the team's consideration.

You will coordinate and oversee user acceptance testing for various grants systems, including the verification of migrated data to ensure accuracy and reliability.

What you will be working on

a) Oversee and maintain the grants databases, ensuring all grants information is kept current, accurate, and complete, and that reference numbers are issued promptly.

b) Lead the preparation of reports, cashflow projections, and correspondences, ensuring quality and timeliness.

c) Conduct compliance reviews on various grants to ensure policy adherence.

d) Coordinate system testing and verification of migrated data.

e) Contribute to and support ad-hoc tasks and projects as required, including taking on responsibilities commensurate with the seniority of the role.

What we are looking for

  • Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in grants management, fund administration, financial operations, or a related field. Prior experience in a public sector or government context would be an advantage.

  • Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to review financial data, cashflow projections, and compliance findings with a high degree of accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and professional correspondence and reports. Well-organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.

  • Other Attributes: A good understanding of regulatory frameworks, policy compliance, and internal controls relevant to grants or fund management. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, and to exercise sound judgement in ambiguous or complex situations.
