1. Work with Government agencies (MTI, MND/URA) and STB’s Analytics and Insights (A&I) team to analyse our past tourism performance and conduct both near and long-term projections of our tourism performance. Review and recommend planning assumptions for various scenarios to ensure the robustness of the projection methodologies.
2. Work with MTI and STB’s Analytics and Intelligence (A&I) to conduct economic impact analysis of specific policy changes on the tourism sector. The officer must be able to recommend the appropriate economic modelling/ frameworks, propose assumptions and review different methodologies.
3. Strengthen our analysis of drivers and contributors towards meeting our Tourism 2040 outcomes (TR, IVA and Productivity). This would include leading the analysis of Singapore’s competitiveness, vis-a-vis competitors.
4. Work with STB’s line units to set targets for key tourism performance metrics with the view of meeting our Tourism 2040 ambitions and ensure that these targets ultimately ladder up to the overall targets for the tourism sector.
5. In addition, officer will be part of the team to manage the following key workplans:
a) Prepare quarterly updates on key performance indicators, industry outlook, etc to MTI.
b) Work with MTI to manage key reporting platforms and updates for MTI senior management, as well as discussions on STB’s KPIs and priorities.
6. Beyond the immediate horizon, the officer will also need to think longer term to identify trends, blind spots, competition/ threats and/or new opportunities, which could potentially impact the future of Singapore tourism. This will involve working on “Futures Planning”, which will have the potential to significantly impact the outcomes of T2040.

Within STB, you will be able to engage across all business teams and develop a keen understanding of the tourism landscape and its operating environment. You will also work closely with MTI and other government agencies, where you would be able to learn more about the work of other economic agencies and how their work is integrated to further Singapore's economic development.
