The Singapore Legal Service Commission (“LSC”) is the appointing authority for all Legal Service Officers (“LSOs”) in the Singapore Legal Service. The LSC has the function, under Part 9 of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, to appoint, confirm, emplace on the permanent establishment, promote, transfer, dismiss and exercise disciplinary control over LSOs in the Legal Service.
The LSC Secretariat supports the functions of the LSC and the Personnel Boards of the Legal Service. We are the human resource policy and operational arm of the Legal Service.
The Secretariat’s core functions include recruitment and establishment, assessment and ranking, talent development, succession planning, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and career development, discipline and exit management.
We work closely with the Attorney-General’s Chambers, Ministries and Statutory Boards where LSOs are deployed to deliver effective people management/development strategies and programmes.

What you will be working on
You will support the team and implement HR policies and strategies. Your responsibilities may include one or more of the following areas:
• Corporate communications (including events management, formulation and execution of marketing and branding strategies through the corporate websites/publications);
• Recruitment (including formulation, review and implementation of strategies for selection and outreach/green harvesting programmes);
• Career development (including formulation, review and implementation of scholarship frameworks, talent development and succession initiatives);
• Performance management (including formulation, review and implementation of strategies for annual ranking & promotion exercises and exit management);
• Compensation & benefits (including formulation, review and implementation of manpower-budget frameworks, payroll & benefits administration and remuneration reviews);
• Data analytics – including reviewing and identifying ways to improve data usage, data quality and data management); and
• Finance, admin & procurement (including review and strengthening of the robustness of procurement and finance procedures/guidelines).
What we are looking for
Requirements:
• Preferably with 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience. Prior work experience in corporate communications or recruitment in the Public Sector will be an advantage.
• Some exposure to communications and branding strategies, including digital platforms, content creation and events coordination. Familiarity with basic design tools such as Canva is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong writing abilities and experience crafting communication materials across different formats and audiences.
• Some familiarity with recruitment processes, including candidate outreach and selection frameworks. Knowledge of other HR processes such as contract management, emplacement and exit management is preferred but not required.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage information carefully and present ideas clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of data and information, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive and a collaborative team player, able to work well both independently and in a team setting.
All new appointees will be appointed on a one-year contract. Remuneration package will be commensurate with experience.
