Senior Manager, People Matters

What the role is

As Senior Manager, People Matters in the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST), you will oversee the professional learning needs of Executive and Administrative Staff (EAS) and staff well-being for MOE. You will lead the planning and delivery of quality professional learning opportunities and staff well-being initiatives, working in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

What you will be working on

• Lead the design and implementation of professional learning opportunities aligned with organisational priorities and individual development needs • Champion a culture of continuous learning by identifying emerging capability gaps and proposing targeted solutions • Lead the development and execution of staff well-being initiatives (e.g. annual health screening and flu vaccination) and employer well-being programmes to empower staff to proactively care for their well-being and foster a caring community • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure seamless and timely delivery of learning and well-being programmes • Support internal finance and procurement functions to ensure resources are managed responsibly and in accordance to relevant regulations and frameworks

What we are looking for

• Relevant competencies in at least one of these areas: HR (learning & development, staff well-being), finance and procurement or project, programme and resource management • Keen interest in people development and staff well-being • Good analytical skills, with the ability to frame and translate ideas into practical actions/ solutions • Sound understanding of organisational dynamics, with the ability to appreciate stakeholder priorities and concerns from multiple perspectives • Strong written and verbal communication skills • A collaborative team player who is comfortable navigating ambiguity and working in an environment that requires independence and adaptability As part of the processing of your application, you may be required to undergo a medical examination that will be fully paid by MOE.
