What the role is

You will work as part of a team responsible for managing the risks of MAS’ portfolios.

What you will be working on

Your duties may include assessing risks and suitability of investment strategies managed by external fund managers,  developing and implementing risk policies, restrictions and limits through prescribing investment guidelines for these investment portfolios, monitoring and reviewing compliance with the investment guidelines, investigating and reporting breaches, ensuring adherence to risk policies and restrictions during the movement of funds between legacy, existing and new investment portfolios, assessing adequacy of risk limits and controls for regulatory compliance, and analysing portfolio risk exposures.  

What we are looking for

  • Good understanding of financial products,  risk measurements, and control processes

  • Knowledge of risk management and control processes in either a banking or fund management environment will be an added advantage.

  • Data analytics and visualisation skills and/or experience with investment analysis platforms, like FactSet, will be an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of investment industry and international financial markets, regulations and rules in various jurisdictions will be helpful.

  • Ability to work at both conceptual and operational levels

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
