What you will be working on
- Establish and review guiding principles, policies and frameworks for MINDEF-related agencies
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and reference commercial best practices
- Analyse funding-related proposals from agencies to assess viability and alignment with strategic objectives
- Monitor and evaluate agencies' expenditure patterns to identify trends and potential areas of concern
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations
- Provide strategic advice on the prudent allocation and utilisation of public funds
Challenge(s)
- Balancing the need for robust financial oversight while enabling agencies to operate efficiently and meet their operational requirements
- Managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple MINDEF agencies with varying priorities and funding needs
What we are looking for
- Education in Accountancy
- At least 2 years of work experience in financial reporting or fields related to audit, governance, or risk is preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- Excellent analytical skills and strong written communication abilities
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with agencies and stakeholders
