LECTURER, PSYCHOLOGY - SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES
What the role is
What you will be working on
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plan, develop, and conduct psychology-related online and face-to-face lectures and tutorial sessions for Diploma, Specialist, and Advanced Diploma modules.
Implement the latest ICT-enabled learning pedagogies and support the development of such tools.
Provide pastoral care to students to support learning.
Support school’s outreach efforts, students’ local and overseas programmes.
Lead the design, development, and review of Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes such as micro-learning, short courses, workshops, learning festival, consultancy projects.
Co-develop course content with subject matter experts, government agencies such as SSG, and industry partners.
Manage curriculum mapping, learning outcomes, projects and comply to the Polytechnic’s assessment frameworks and accreditation requirements.
Support wellness consultancy projects and co-branding initiatives.
Prepare reports and documentation for programmes’ review and evaluation of effectiveness.
What we are looking for
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Mental Health, Social Sciences, Education, Public Health, Curriculum Design, Instructional design, or related fields.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working in a teaching and/or training centre with government agencies such as SSG and industry partners to facilitate curriculum development, instructional design or adult learning.
Experience in workplace health, wellness, well-being, or the human resource sector is highly desirable.
Strong writing, facilitation, communication skills and project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Additional pre-requisites that are advantageous:
Lecturing experience with Post-Graduate Diploma in Higher Education, Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance (ACLP) and/or Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE).
